The Center for Disaster Risk Management and Community Development Studies (CDRM&CDS) is a department of HKBP Nommensen University. The CDRM&CDS has developed 6 years strategy (2009 – 2014) and 3 years project (2009 – 201) to work with various communities of North and West Sumatera. CDRM&CDS is in process of affiliatiating with Lutheran World Federation/Departme nt of World Service based in Geneva as an associate program member. Locally, CDRM&CDS is supported by Lutheran Churches of Indonesia and their diaconal departments.CDRM&CDS is located in Simalingkar, Medan. The programs are focused on disaster risk management and capacity building of the communities. The CDRM&CDS has 4 field projects: Simalingkar, Nias, Pakpak (North Sumatera) and Mentawai (West Sumatera). CDRM&CDS is seeking for following position:
Finance Officer(FO)Selected candidate will be responsible for- Collecting financial data from both HQ and 3 field centers- Preparing monthly and annual reportsin timely manner- Provide financial information for annual budgeting as well as any revision exercise- Provide information and facilitateauditors during audit exercise- Ensure all transaction are correctandin line with CDRM&CDS finance manual- Train/coach finance staff in HQ as well as field locations to adhere to finance management system- Oversee the functions of overall finance management in absence of FA&HR Manager- Work in collaboration with all finance assistants as well as program staff- Any other tasks assigned by Finance, Admin and HR Manager
General requirements:1. Minimum bachelor’sdegree in accounting2. Minimum 2 years experience in accounting3. Able to communicate in English both verbaland written4. Good aptitudeinlearning5. Work experience in NGO, basic knowledge on ACCPAC software as well as field project experience will be an added advantage.
